Don Gruwell was a lifelong resident of Muncie. He retired from the Marine Corps in 1967 after 20 years of service. He also worked for Precision Printing for more than 5 years. He was a member of the Peoples Sympathy Club, Loyal Order of Moose 33, Fraternal Order of Elks, Dunkirk, and several Moose bowling leagues.
Survivors include two daughters and three sons.

Burial:
Gardens of Memory, Muncie, Delaware Co., Indiana
