Notes for Alexander Coxe YARNALL
ALEXANDER COXE YARNALL 72, died suddenly Friday morning, January 16, 2004 in the Miami Heart Institute. Mr. Yarnall was the son of Alexander Coxe Yarnall, an investment banker with Yarnall and Biddle of Philadelphia, and Elise Latrobe Hopkins of Newport, RI. His brother, Charlton Yarnall of Bryn Mawr, predeceased him in October 2000. Mr. Yarnall was brought up in Haverford, PA, Palm Beach and Northeast Harbor, ME. He attended Pomfret, the Haverford School and was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Class of 1955. He was a member of the Merion Cricket Club of Philadelphia. Mr. Yarnall was an avid car collector and enthusiast. He lived in Bryn Mawr and moved back to Palm Beach in 1999. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Thorndike Yarnall of Palm Beach; stepdaughter, Lucy Harrison Bauer (husband, David William) of Delray Beach, FL; stepgrandson, William Elbridge Bauer of Delray Beach; sister-in-law, Mrs. Charlton (Jean)Yarnall of Bryn Mawr; nephews: Charlton Yarnall and Alexander Yarnall; niece, Mary Elise Yarnall; cousin, Mrs. H. Ashton (Letitia) Crosby of Franconia, NH. A Memorial Service is planned at Bethesda- by-the Sea Episcopal Church, Palm Beach at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 27, 2004. Interment will be in the summer at Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor, ME.
