Martha Crozer, married Rumford Dawes after she was sixty years of age. She was a very queenly old lady, prominent in society, and her log house still stands with its quaint old brass knocker on land of John Ogden. She entertained Revolutionary soldiers on their retreat from the battle of Brandywine.
