Joseph B. Panik, 66, husband of Mrs. Dora (Panik) Panik, died yesterday morning at 5:45 o’clock at his home, 333 Ridge Ave., after a six months illness. Born in Czechoslovakia, he came to this country 46 years ago. He was a former employe of the Bethlehem Steel Co., having retired three years ago. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic church. Surviving besides his wife are: eight sons, Joseph Jr. and George, Allentown, John, Catasauqua, Andrew, Bethlehem, Frank, Northampton and Albert, Stephen and Edward, at home; two daughters, Helen, wife of Robert P. Fenstermacher and Agnes, wife of Joseph Huber, both of Allentown; 16 grandchildren; a brother John, Allentown and two sisters Veronica and Elizabeth, both in Europe. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the late home, with solemn high mass of requiem in St. John the Baptist church at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from this evening until the time of the funeral.
