Notes for David Sharples DARLINGTON
Mr. Darlington was educated at Friends Central School in Philadelphia, Pa., George School in Bucks Co., Pa. and received the degree of E. E. in 1925 from Pennsylvania State University. Until 1932 he was employed by the Philadelphia Electric Co. and then was self employed until 1936. He was with the E. G. Budd railroad car construction firm until 1941 and with the Denver and Rio Grande Westem Railroad, Denver, Colo, as assistant electrical engineer (Diesel locomotives) until 1948. Until 1955 he was with the Baldwin Lima Hamilton Co., Eddystone, Pa. as supervisor of Diesel Locomotive Inspection. Since then Mr. Darlington has been with Boiler Engineering Supply Co., Phocnixville, Pa. as an electrical engineer.
