Notes for Richard III LEE
As the oldest surviving son, Richard inherited the family estate at Machodoc, with its 2600 acres and a supply of livestock. However, he never occupied it, instead, moving to London, where he died in 1718.
He joined the firm of his Uncle Thomas Corbin, Lettice's brother, and became a prosperous tobacco merchant. He married Martha Silk, an heiress.
