Ralph McCreary was not, as previously suspected, the son of Elizabeth and John McCreary. He was actually the illegitimate child of Mary McCreary. There is no information as to who his father is at this time. He was raised with John and Elizabeth and Mary until Mary married Jack Whitlock. During that time period, it was a disgrace to have a child out of wedlock, so Mary was protected as much as possible by her parents. No one discussed Ralph's father, and no one seams to know who he was.
