Notes for William SCOTT

William carried mail from Londonderry to Donegal from the age of 16. When he came to America, he took up the trade of stonecutter. To pay for passage to America, he had to work for five years without pay. He could work for pay outside of his regular hours . He purchased a home at 2056 Annin Street and the family lived there until he married Mary Kilpatrick. Then the rest of the family moved to 17th Street.
