Married Mary Jane Yeatman 19 February 1859 before John M. Keltin, a Justice of the Peace of Chester County, Pennsylvania. Witnesses John Yeatman, Rebecca Yeatman, Sarah Ann Yeatman. They had one child, a daughter, Emma R. Jackson born 25 October 1859. Edwin P. Jackson died at the Brooklyn Naval Hospital of consumption of the lungs contacted while in the service.
