Edith Foster Dulles - Birth: 1863 - Death: Jun. 8, 1941 - Auburn, Cayuga County, New York, USA - Edith F. Dulles, wife of Dr. Allen Macy Dulles (1854-1930), was the matriarch of a distinguished American family. She and her husband, a Presbyterian minister who later headed Auburn Theological Seminary, were the parents of statesman John Foster Dulles, Secretary of State under President Eisenhower; OSS-CIA Director Allen W. Dulles, who headed US intelligence during WWII; and Eleanor Dulles, a diplomat.
