Notes for Isaac GRUBB
Isaac was a Brandywine Hundred farmer, the son of Samuel and Rebecca (Hewes) Grubb, who inherited his grandfather John Grubb, Jr.'s house. He married Margaret Crawford and they had eleven children.
Isaac was a member of Joseph Marshall's Militia Company during the Revolution, but legend has it that he arrived late for the Battle of Brandywine because of a balky farm animal he was riding.
