Notes for Chapman BIDDLE
He was married to Mary L. Cochran and was admitted to the Philadelphia Bar in 1848. Chapman Biddle organized the 121st Regiment of Pennsylvania Volunteers and was wounded at the Battle of Gettysburg. After the war, he served as a lawyer in Philadelphia, and served as general counsel to the Pennsylvania Railroad.
