Notes for George Washington BIDDLE

He graduated from Mount St. Mary's College in Maryland. He studied law under his uncle James C. Biddle and John Cadwalader, and was admitted to the Philadelphia Bar in 1839. He served as a Common Councilman to Philadelphia, and was a member of the Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention of 1873. George Washington Biddle married Mary McMurtrie, and together they had three children.
