Notes for Carroll Thornton BROWN

Carroll T. Brown received the degrees of A. B. and A, M. from Haverford College. From 1909 to 1911 he taught English at William Penn Charter School and then taught from 1911 to 1957 at Westtown School When Haverford
College conferred an honorary degree on him in 1955 his citation read: "Teacher of Literature who for over fifty years has instilled into the students of Westtown School a love of great writing and an appreciation of the lives out of which it grew."
