Notes for Deborah SMITH

According to legend (documented in "Brigid's Charge" by Cynthia Lamb - direct
descendent of Deborah and Japheth) Deborah cursed when she learned she was
pregnant with a thirteenth child. When the child was born, it had a horse's head, cloved feet, and wings. It promptly flew up the chimney and escaped. The Leeds Devil, or Jersey Devil, supposedly haunts the Pine Barrens to this day.
