Penrose, Joseph (Pa). Lieutenant-Colonel 5th Pennsylvania Battalion, 3d January, 1776; Colonel 10th Pennsylvania, 25th October, 1776; resigned 7th February, 1777.

Joseph Penrose. Bristol Township, Co. of Bucks, Penna. Feb. 18 and April 15, 1784. Wit. hand and seal March 15, 1800. All estate to my three natural children, namely, Margaret, Elizabeth and Abraham Penrose, children of Abigail Wyley. Exec: Cousin Jonathan Penrose, Philadelphia, and my friend Samuel Benezet of Bucks Co.
