Notes for Lewis Joseph MAURER
Lewis J. Maurer, 78, of Messiah Village, Upper Allen Twp., died yesterday in Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg.
He retired as president of Property Management Inc.; was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University; a past worshipful master of Hershey Brownstone F&AM Lodge 666 and former president of the Hershey Rotary Club; a member and former chairman of the board of Bethesda Mission; treasurer of the Messiah Village Retirement Community Auxiliary and an executive board member of the village Resident Council; and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Harrisburg Consistory and Zembo Shrine Temple.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth B. Maurer; two sons, Robert F. of Waynesboro and Lewis L. of Hummelstown; a daughter, Elizabeth C. Sites of Elliottsburg; his mother, Elsie Maurer of Middletown; a brother, Richard of Lancaster; a sister, Bernice M. Geise of New Cumberland; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Messiah Village Chapel. Burial will be in New Berlin Cemetery.
