Notes for Virginia Ruth HAMILTON

Virginia R. (Hamilton) Trexler, 77, of R.D. 2, Box 294, Huntingdon, Pa., died January 2, 2006, in Altoona (Pa.) Hospital. She was born in Allentown on June 9, 1928. She was a daughter of E.E. Hamilton, D.D.S., and Ruth (Detweiler) Hamilton. She was the wife of John Peter Trexler, Ph.D. They were married in Allentown Presbyterian Church on January 29, 1950, by Rev. Dr. Walter Eastwood. She was a graduate of Allentown High School and the salutatorian of the class of 1946 and a graduate of Cedar Crest College and the valedictorian of the class of 1951. She was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry, class of 1954, and a member of its Cryer Honor Society. She was the only woman in the class of 150 students. She briefly practiced dentistry and co-authored numerous professional papers with her father while residing in Allentown. She was a member of Huntingdon (Pa.) Presbyterian Church.

Myren, J.D., of Pierre, S.D; four grandchildren; sisters, Clarice (Hamilton) Hall and her husband Robert W. of Glen Mills, Pa., Lenore (Hamilton) Hanson and her husband Marvin of Southern Pines, N.C., Joan Hamilton of Boston, Mas
