Notes for Rachel Burges TATNALL
Rachel (Tatnall) Cox, 90, of Tredyffrin, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2009, at her home.
She was the wife of Charles H. Cox Jr.
She was born in Bryn Mawr to the late Emmett Robinson and Margaret (Felton) Tatnall.
After graduating from the Shipley School, she married her husband and became a homemaker and raised her family.
Rachel was a dedicated volunteer at Paoli Hospital, logging more than 4,000 hours of service. She also volunteered at Bryn Mawr Hospital and the Red Cross.
In addition to her husband of 63 years, she is survived by her children, Margaret O'Brien and James Bernhardt of Chester Springs, and Charles H. III and Katherine Cox of Haverford; grandson, Andrew J. O'Brien, and great-granddaughter, Rachel Emily O'Brien, both of Chester Springs.
A graveside service will be held privately by the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Mainline Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 89, Chester Springs, PA 19425; and to the Alzheimer's charity of your choice.
