Notes for Rosalyn SMITH

Rosalyn was born in Germany to George Andrew Schmidt (Smith) and Johanna Mauff. The family immigrated to Ulster County, NY where Johanna had a brother and a sister.

George died in 1897, leaving Johanna a widow with three small children. She married Ludwig Brandt in 1900.

Rosalyn married Joseph Tatnall of Delaware in 1917, the couple had two sons. The Reverand Joseph Tatnall and Brigadier General Phillip R. Tatnall.
