Notes for Phillip Warren PATTEN

Philip W. Patten - Mattawan, Passed away May 27, 2002. Philip was born Jan. 24, 1939 in Grand Rapids, the son of Maurice and Lillian (Dailey) Patten. He was a member of Valley View Bible Church, where he was a board member, organist and taught Sunday school. He was a very talented musician. Surviving are his wife Shirley; 2 daughters, Pam and Todd Olson of Grand Rapids, and Tonya Patten of Virginia; one grandchild; 2 brothers, Gaylord and Noreen Patten of Battle Creek, and Maurice and Mary Patten of Portage; 2 sisters, Lillian Teesdale of Sand Lake, and Betty and Bob Hopkins of Hastings; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie; and 3 brothers and 1 sister. At his request cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2002 at the Valley View Bible Church, 8979 W. Main, Oshtemo, with Pastor Bill Theaker officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund at the Valley View Bible Church.
