John Brown Chandlee, born 27 Jun 1840 Zion, MD, died 29 Jan 1918, bur. Woodlawn Cem, Baltimore, MOD, married in Zion, MD by 1870 to Phebe Ann Moore, dau of Isaac Moore and Phebe Johnson, born 21 Feb 1847 at Little Brittain, Lancaster Co., PA, died 6 Nov 1869, bur Rose Bank Cem. Child: Edward P.
John Brown Chandlee next married Mary Elizabeth Hodgson, dau of George Hodgson and Margaret Minner, born 9 Sep 1854, died 29 Aug 1933. They were married in Zion, MD on 19 Jun 1875. They had 3 children: Blanche, Edna and Alis Johns. He moved to Baltimore and was in charge of maintenance for the street car lines. When they were converted to electrical power he opened a harness making and repair business. He was very successful, then was injured and had to retire.
