SINGLES- In Malvern, on July 9th, 1902, Phebe J. Singles, widow of the late Chalkley G. Singles, aged 68 years.
Funeral on Saturday, July 12th, 1902, from the residence of her son-in-law, Dr. J.K. Evans, Malvern. Services at 2 p.m. Interment private at Goshen Friends' Burying Ground.

Phebe J. Singles, of Malvern, passed peacefully away yesterday at the home of her son-in-law, Dr. J. K. Evans, of the same place. She was the widow of the late Chalkley G. Singles, of East Goshen township, and daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Rogers, of Willistown. She received her education at Ralston Seminary, Norristown. One year ago she underwent a serious operation at the Chester County Hospital, which prolonged her life. She enjoyed good health until about ten weeks ago, but since that time she has been confined to her bed. The deceased was a charter member of Goshen Grange, and for a number of years, occupied the position of Lecturer. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, of Malvern, was a faithful wife and loving mother, and a woman of sterling qualities, who will be much missed in her community. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Smith Sharpless, of West Chester, and Mrs. Dr. J. K. Evans, of Malvern, with whom she passed her last days of suffering and distress. The funeral will take place from the residence of Dr. J. K. Evans, in Malvern, on Saturday, the 12th. Services at 2 p.m. and interment at Goshen Friends' Burying Grounds.

The funeral of Mrs. Phebe Singles, of Malvern, took place at Friend's Burying Ground at Goshen Meeting House on Saturday afternoon and was well attended. The services were held at the home of her son-in-law, Dr. J. K. Evans, at Malvern, and were conducted by Rev. Thos. J. Aiken, of the Presbyterian Church. Thomas Fisher, a minister of the Society of Friends also spoke.

... the pall bearers were Dr. J. H. Fronefield, W. Roger Fronefield, Howard Sypherd, Alex. Boyd, George Carter, Warren Rogers, E.C. Evans and Thomas Ford. The interment was made at Goshen Friends' Burying Ground.
