Notes for George Gordon BENNETT
George Gordon Bennett served from August 1, 1861 to 1864. He served in
Company F of the 36th Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry along with his
brother William. Gordon was slightly wounded at Lewisburgh, Va. according
to pg 268 of the History of Washington County, Ohio 1788-1881. He was
awarded a pension for the effects of measles which he contracted at
Summersville, WV, the same time as his brother William.
