Notes for Edward Allen HAMILTON

Edward A. "Ted" Hamilton, 75, of Cochranville, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Temple Hospital in Philadelphia, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Marlene Stewart Hamilton with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.
Born in West Grove on Christmas day in 1933, he was the son of the late P. Fred and Evelyn Keim Hamilton.
A machinist, he worked for Lukens Steel in Coatesville for 42 years before retiring in 1996.
He was a member of Manor Presbyterian Church (formerly Faggs Manor) in Cochranville for over 50 years and the third generation of his family belonging to the church. In 1954, he along with Bill Cannoy, founded Boy Scout Troop #192 in Faggs Manor. An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed travelling, trains, and antiquing with his wife. He built his own mountain cabin in Potter County. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Marlene, he is survived by three sons, Edward A. Hamilton, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia of West Chester; Marshall R. Hamilton and his wife, Robin of Doe Run; Robert S. Hamilton and his wife, Lori of Alden, NY; one daughter, Teresa Hamson and her husband, Kenneth of Cochranville; one brother, David Hamilton and his wife, Barbara of Oxford; three sisters, Marilyn Hibbard and her husband, William of East Fallowfield; Hope Kepler and her husband, Ronald of Oxford; and Carol Warfel and her husband, William of Manheim; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
