McALISTERVILLE - Donald V. Losch, 80, of R.R.#1, McAlisterville, died Tuesday morning, August 20, 2002, at his home.

He was born March 24, 1922, in Juniata County, a son of the late Henry O. and Anna (Dressler) Losch. His wife, Virginia M. (Hepner) Losch, whom he married on October 20, 1945, survives.

He was employed as a mechanic for United Parcel Service, Harrisburg, until his retirement in 1984.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, R.R.#1, Richfield; the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 925, Millerstown and active with Retired Teamsters.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 sons, Robert C. Losch, Mifflin, Roger K. Losch, Lewistown, Lawrence D. Losch, R.R.#1, McAlisterville and Barry E. Losch, Port Trevorton; 4 brothers, Victor Losch, Camp Hill, Joseph Losch, Florida, Wayne Losch, Dauphin, Orville Losch, McAlisterville; 3 sisters, Gladys Sheaffer, Selinsgrove, Mildred Hepner, McAlisterville, Carolyn Stoner, Georgia; 5 grandchildren, and 2 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Timothy V. Losch on June 12, 1992 and Allen D. Losch, in infancy, a grandson, Jason N. Losch, 3 brothers, Gerald Losch, Elwood Losch and Larry Losch, 1 sister, Wanda Lesher and a half brother Leroy Dressler.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2002, from the McAlisterville Chapel of Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 16 Westfall Street, McAlisterville, with the Rev. Kathleen M. Kinney officiating. Burial will follow in the Faith Lutheran Cemetery, R.R.#1, Richfield, where full Military Honors will be accorded by the Juniata County Veterans Council.

Viewing will be held Thursday, from 4 until 9 p.m., in the funeral home, where family will be present from 7 until 9 p.m.
