Barrett, Thomas. E. Nottingham. 12-7-1781. Oct. 2. 1782. Provides for wife Hannah. To son Arthur tract of land he now lives on containing about 40 acres, adjoining Timothy and Roger Kirk, also my claim to any land in Virginia, in right of my brother John Barrett, deceased, paying to his brother Joseph £25 at 21. To son William the plantation I now live on except what is beq. To Arthur and all personal estate paying legacies. To son Thomas £15. To son Joseph £15 at 21. To daughters Rebecca, wife of William Hains, Rachel, wife of John Pugh, and Lydia, wife of William Knight, 20 shillings each. To daughter Susanna, wife of William Rogers, £12. To daughter Hannah, wife of Benjamin Brown, £12 etc. To daughter Mary 40 shillings yearly and maintenance ""so that she may not become changeable."" Executors: Wife Hannah, son William.
