Notes for Jonas INGHAM
Jonas Ingham, from whom our branch of the family is directly descended, was an English Quaker. He came to this country from England in 1705. It is not known exactly where he landed except that it was in New England (probably Scituate), however he removed to Bucks County, Pa., about 1730, where he settled in Buckingham Township, and was one of the founders of Buckingham Monthly Meeting, along with Edmund Kinsey. He died November 15, 1755. His wife's name was Elizabeth.
