John Hope. Kennett. Yeoman. October 27, 1749 December 7, 1749. C. 189. To son Thomas, 250 acres whereon he now dwells being part of a tract my brother Thomas Hope left me by will. To son John the plantation whereon he now dwells and part of plantation where I dwell (described), 31½ acres, in all 181½ acres. To son Amos remainder of plantation containing 318 acres when 21. To son-in-law Stephen Hayes and wife Sarah 5 shillings each. To son-in-law George Harlan and wife Elizabeth 5 shillings each. To daughter Susanna Fred 50 acres of land in possession of John Fred. To grandson John Hayes lott of ground in Wilmington, Del. Provides for wife Elizabeth. Executors: Wife and son Amos. *Mentions John Way, William Temple and Aaron Harlan as owning adjoining lands.
