Notes for Henry BEESON

Henry and Mary moved from Berkeley County to Red Stone Creek, Fayette Co., Pa. on pack mules about 1768 where he built a grist mill on the creek. The settlement that grew up around the mill became known as Beesontown in 1776. Beesontown and his brother's adjacent town were incorporated into UNIONTOWN, Pa.
Henry supplied the Revolutionary army with flour and was paid in continental money and land script. The lands were located in Kentucky and Ohio.
