Notes for Frederick Augustus OLDS
Mr. Olds was called "Judge" and while he was admitted to the bar both in Kentucky and Illinois he never followed the practice of law, but became a successful farmer, mill and real estate owner. He served two terms in the Illinois State Legislature at the same time Abraham Lincoln was a member. His title as judge was due to his being a leader in the community in which he resided.
