Deceased Name: Jane COLLINS
Jane Pennock Collins Age 81 died on Thursday, December 14, 2000 at Ware Presbyterian Village in Oxford, PA. She was married for 58 years to the late Edward Trowbridge Collins, Jr., who died November 2, 2000.
Born in Kennett Square, PA, Jane was the daughter of the late Baseball Hall-of-Famer, Herbert Jeffries Pennock and Esther Freck Pennock. Her late father-in-law, Eddie Collins, was also in the Hall of Fame. She was a graduate of Kennett High School and Bradford College, MA. A lifelong resident of Kennett Square, she was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent.
In addition to her husband, parents and father-in-law, Jane was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph T. Pennock. She is survived by 2 sons, Edward T. Collins, III of Kennett Square and Peter F. Collins of Wilmington, DE; 4 grandchildren, Michael R., Laura K., Edward T., IV and Peter Matthew Collins; and 3 nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, December 20 at the Episcopal Church of the Advent, N. Union St., Kennett Square. Burial will be private.
Donations in Mrs. Collins' memory may be made to the Bayard Taylor Memorial Library, E. State St., Kennett Square, PA 19348.
