Notes for Elizabeth Burden COLLINS
Elizabeth C. Huber, 83, of Delaware Township, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township.
Born: Aug. 2, 1919, in Staten Island, N.Y., a daughter of the late Ralph and Elizabeth Burden Collins.
Personal: She was assistant director of the Flemington Public Library for 20 years, retiring in 1985.
She was active in raising sheep on her farm in Delaware Township. She resided in Delaware Township for 52 years.
She was an avid reader and crossword puzzle solver. She had an abiding interest in nature.
At one time, she was employed by Cooks Tours Travel Agency in New York City.
Survivors: her husband, Frederick C. Sr.; two sons, Peter C. of Monkton, Vt., and Frederick C. Jr., of Roanoke, Va.; a sister, Barbara Wadhams of Shelburne, Vt.; and four grandchildren.
Memberships: She was a member of the Green Sergeants Covered Bridge Society, in Delaware Township.
Services: 10:30 am Friday in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private.
