From the time John arrived in America until at least 1740 he lived in Chester County, PA. Through the years John owned several different parcels of land in Birmingham township. Years after Hannah's death in 1749 he was living in Mill Creek Hundred, New Castle Co, DE.

For all of his adult life John was very active in the Baptist Church. Most of this was with the Brandywine Baptist Church in Pennsylvania then in Delaware when he moved from Pennsylvania. There are no "facts" to show John's burial location. It is assumed that he was buried in the Brandywine Baptist Church Cemetery where he was an active member.
