Notes for William Robert BROOMELL
William Robert Broomell, 80 of Exton, PA died Sunday, November 25, 2018 at home.
He was the husband of Mary Anne Stafford Broomell.
Born April 29, 1938 in West Chester, PA he was the son of the late William Broomell and the late Emma Love Broomell.
Bill was a Navy veteran and served on the USS Valley Forge.
He worked locally in the maintenance field most of his life and retired as Department Supervisor of Maintenance for New Seasons in Exton.
He was a member of the West Chester Senior Center and a former member of the American Legion and the Fame Fire Co. both of West Chester.
Bill was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan and loved fishing. He enjoyed playing many card games with family and was well known for his Skill Saw Crafting and the many Craft Shows he displayed his work.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Deborah Richmond (Timothy) of Howey in the Hills, FL, Jennifer Gunnoe (Matt) of Casselberry, FL, and William Broomell (Rita) of Dorlan Springs, AZ; brother, Edward Broomell of Marmora, NJ; grandchildren TJ, Amanda, and Brianna; step-sons Norm Shirk (Janet Zeis) and Lenny Shirk (Sherry) all of Exton; step-grandchildren Magdalena R. Shirk, Kristin K. Shirk and Candace Rae Shirk.
Relatives and Friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 7-8 pm at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church St. West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com; followed by his Memorial Service at 8pm.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the West Chester Senior Center 530 E. Union Street, West Chester, PA 19382.
