William J. "Bud" Peterman, 89, of Land O'Lakes, Fla., formerly of Malvern, died on Monday, June 29, 2009, in Land O'Lakes.
He was the husband of Norma Peterman, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.
Born on April 8, 1920, in West Chester, he was the son of the late William T. and Mary Whitely Peterman.
He was a graduate of West Chester High School in West Chester.
He was a soldier in World War II where he served in Patton's 6th Armored Division and was injured in France.
He was employed with the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier for 39 years in Malvern.
He was a member of Malvern Boy Scout Troop 7 and St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Lionville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Brian and daughter-in-law, Allie; brother, Alfred and his wife, Helen; granddaughters, Jennifer and Rebecca; step-grandson, CJ, and step-granddaughter, Nicole; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Garden Spot Village Chapel, New Holland, on Saturday, July 18.
