Notes for Stephanie FUGUET

Stephanie Fuguet Arndt, 85, died peacefully on Wednesday November 8, 2017. She was born in Berwyn, PA to Stephen Fuguet and Suzanne Wister Fuguet on May 27, 1932. Stephanie’s father left this earth early in her life only for she and her brother Stephen and sister Suzanne to be adopted and cherished ever so deeply by Joseph Lees Eastwick. Stephanie spent her adolescent years growing up on a beautiful farm in Chester Springs, PA. After graduating from the Old Fields School in Stephanie graduated from Briarcliff Junior College. Stephanie was married to John Falkner Arndt Jr. and later divorced. Stephanie and her former husband had three wonderful children; Elizabeth Wister Arndt of Salt Lake City, Utah, John Eastwick Arndt of Harpswell, Maine and James Wister Arndt and a lovely daughter-in-law Cindy of Dolores, Colorado. She was also blessed with 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Stephanie was active in the Planters Garden Club where she won many awards at the Philadelphia Flower Show. Stephanie had a keen eye for composition both in floral arranging and photography where she was always in search of that “perfect photograph.” Stephanie was introduced to American West at a young age by her parents and immediately became enamored with its’ grandeur as well as fly-fishing. She had many fond memories of her childhood adventures at the Upper Dam on Mooselookmeguntic Lake in Maine as well as her passion for sailing. Stephanie wasted no time in giving her own children the same wondrous exposures and experiences to nature as her parents did for her. It was at these moments that Stephanie was truly her happiest. She spent many years traveling the globe with her sister and best friend Joan Roberts. At 75 years of age Stephanie was Zodiaking around the briny deep 500 miles from the North Pole. In her last few years Stephanie was blessed by the angelic care she received by her caregiver Lois Palmer. Stephanie is survived by her sister Suzanne Steigerwalt of Bryn Mawr PA, and her brother Stephen Fuguet of Trappe, Maryland. Services will be held at the Old Saint David’s Church, 763 Valley Forge Rd., Wayne, PA 19087 on Tuesday, November 14 at 11:00 am. STUARD – NEWTOWN SQUARE – SINCE 1822 Formerly of Ardmore
