Anna Hicks Yarnall, formerly of West Chester
Anna Hicks Yarnall, 79, of Elizabethtown and formerly of West Chester, died Monday, Jan. 27, 1997 at the Masonic Health Care Center of the Masonic Home in Elizabethtown.
She was the wife of John "Jack" Yarnall of Elizabethtown.
Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Casper and Ida Lewellyn Hicks.
She lived in West Chester for most of her life.
She was a 1937 graduate of West Chester High School; and a graduate of Rudemar Beauty Culture School in Philadelphia.
For a short time, she was employed by the former Teressa's Beauty Shop in West Chester.
She was a former hairdresser for the Casper P. Hicks Funeral Home in West Chester and the Founds Funeral Home, Inc. in West Chester.
She was a member of the Baptist Church of West Chester.
She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 352, West Chester, where she was the worthy matron in 1953.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Judy Fielding of West Chester; a sister, Beatrice Founds Conner of West Chester; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Retta McClure.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Founds Funeral Home, Inc., High and Union streets, West Chester. An Eastern Star service will follow.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Green Mount Cemetery, West Chester.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
