Notes for Millard Preston Jr. COALE

Lower Chichester resident; World War II veteran Millard "Ted" P. Coale Jr., 83, of the Linwood section of Lower Chichester, a retired steel worker, died April 28 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland. Born in Marcus Hook, he was a resident of Trainer before moving to Linwood. Mr. Coale was a graduate of the old Eddystone High School. He was employed by Phoenix Steel Co. in Claymont, Del., for 26 years before his retirement in 1987. He was also a property maintenance man for Cox's Trailer Park in Trainer for 30 years. An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Coale was a member of Bowley Fatzinick Karpin Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5546 of Trainer. He enjoyed playing the lottery and mowing the lawn. Mr. Coale was the widower of Elizabeth Guyer Coale who died in 2000 and the grandfather of Kevin Coale who died in 1993. He was the son of the late Sybil Rowland Nickle Coale and Millard P. Coale Sr. and the brother of the late William Coale, Robert Coale, Wesley Coale, and Elsie Fallen. Survivors: Sons, Millard T. Coale, Ronald K. Coale and Tiberius Coale, all of Upper Chichester; daughters, Judith S. Lejman of Cumming, Ga., Pamela Pawulich of Indianapolis, Melody Smith of Louisville, Tenn.; brothers, Ray Coale of Glenolden, Wilson Coale of Townsend, Del. and Jesse Coale and Howard Coale, both of Linwood; sisters, Barbara Coale of Trainer, Sybil Scott of Upland, Helena Rausch of Townsend, Del.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Service: Noon Monday, Kaniefski-Kendus-D'Anjolell Memorial Home, 3900 W. Ninth St., Trainer. Visitation: 10 a.m.-noon Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Private.
