Jacob C. Twaddell
Let us tell you the story of; JACOB C. TWADDELL; He went to meet the Lord Sunday morning while resting in his home. He had been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure and was having severe lung problems.
His story starts with being born right here in DE. He went to Wilmington HS and played the tuba in the HS band. He moved on to enlist in the Army. Then he was discharged and became an auto mechanic. This is when he met Terry and got married, the result of 2 daughters. Theresa and Marcia. He continued in life by marrying a second time to Eileen. While still residing in Wilmington and working for Bell-Telephone who later was bought out by AT&T, with whom he soon retired. After retiring he kept busy with hobbies at first. He enjoyed Phillies games, fishing, and pool at the VFW. He also enjoyed talking about family history; like Hagley museum and making gun powder for the war. Jacob also loved talking about relatives on Twaddell Mill Rd and their businesses such as Twaddell Dairy, and Twaddell Plumbing. He and his brother William, helped their parents Jeannette and Edward with their bookbinding business. He wanted more, so he then became a bus driver, security guard and a water truck driver.
After taking ill, he was then taken care of by his youngest daughter Marcia and her husband Rob, as they became his soul caregivers. While being happy living with most of his family, he enjoyed being with the Grand and Great-Grandchildren. He was visited often by his eldest daughter T.J. & Ron, also an Aunt Sheila of the family and, a favorable niece Sharon, which he had many great experiences with.
He has left to enjoy his memories here on earth a long list of loved ones, ranging from Great grandchildren all the way up to his nieces. Now that he has joined other family members in heaven, he will be Extremely Missed Here. May he R.I.P.. WE LOVE YOU DAD!
