Notes for John Fletcher TWEED
John Fletcher Tweed, Sr., age 69, of Wilmington, DE, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016. John was a woodworking craftsman who enjoyed retreating to his own little shop he had at home. He enjoyed NASCAR, wrestling, and country music. His grandchildren added much joy to his life.
John is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Tweed; son, John F. Tweed, Jr.; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Gene Tweed; sister, Bertha Cooper; and his dog, Shadow. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Sara Tweed; son, Kevin Tweed; sister, Maryanna Tweed; and brother, Leonard Tweed, Jr.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016, from 10-11 AM in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of John’s life at 11 AM.
