Notes for Wanda B. CORNOG
Wanda B. Cornog Wooters, 81, of York, formerly of Delaware County, died April 21.
1926.
Born in Booth's Corner, she moved from Greenridge, Pa., to, as she always said, "the last acre God put on earth," East Berlin, Pa., in 1971.
Mrs. Wooters worked many years for Scott Paper Co. and the Sun Valley School District before moving to the York area. She also worked for Musselmans, Winter Gardens and Pfaltzgraff Pottery.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in York.
Mrs. Wooters was very loving and compassionate, and when she spoke of her children or grandchildren, she never used the word "step." They were just her children whom she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Wooters Sr.
She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Emma Steward Cornog, stepmother of the late Barbara Staub and Christine Blevins and sister of the late Ernest Cornog Jr.
Survivors: Son, William "Bill" Weaver of Brookhaven; stepdaughters, AnnaMae Hoffman, Margaret "Maggie" Hicks and her husband, Paul, with whom she lived since 1986; stepson, Clarence Wooters Jr.; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren.
Burial: Private.
