Notes for Lillian Louise SNYDER
Lillian Louise Snyder Wilkins, 93, of Linwood, Lower Chichester, an active member in several Delaware County organizations, died Oct. 6 at the home of her daughter.
Born in Oxford, Mrs. Wilkins sold Avon products for 20 years.
Mrs. Wilkins was active in many organizations around the county. She was a charter member of Upper Chichester Seniors, for which she was awarded an honorary plaque, and past president of Rockdale Seniors and the Linwood Century Club. She was a member of Linwood Methodist Church, Tall Cedars Auxiliary Penn Forest No. 21, and the American Legion Post No. 1 in Wilmington, where she was honored for voting for over 50 years and inducted in the Voter's Hall of Fame.
Mrs. Wilkins was the widow of Wesley William Nickle, who died in 1955, and the late Thomas Washington Wilkins. She was the mother of Wesley Nickle and Ronald Nickle, who both died in 1994, and the sister of the late Stanley Snyder, Sherwood Snyder and Leslie Snyder. She was also the daughter of the late Leslie S. Snyder and Mary Nickle.
Survivors: Son, Roger Nickle of Claymont, Del. daughter, Jean Lupoli of Concord sisters, Margaret Snyder of Rehoboth Beach, Del., Mildred Brantley of Pasadena, Texas, Edna Arrington of Boyerstown 10 grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren.
Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Kaniefski-Kendus-D'Anjolell Memorial Home, 3900 W. Ninth St., Trainer.
Visitation: 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood.
