Notes for Thomas Fredd TAYLOR

Thomas F. Taylor, 66, a resident of West Grove, died at his home on Jan. 31. He was the husband of Jeannette "Sis" Wilson Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was born in West Chester in 1920, and was a 1939 graduate of Unionville High School. He had been a resident of West Grove for the last 27 years.
He was employed as an inspector and packer for the National Vulcanized Fibre Co. in Kennett Square for 40 years, retiring in 1982. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 353d Infantry Division in the European, African and Middle Eastern campaigns. He received two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He also served in the National Guard from 1951 to 1954, obtaining the rank of first sergeant.
Mr. Taylor was past district commander of District 9 of the VFW, and a life member and past commander of the Kennett Square VFW Post 5467. He was a member of the American Legion Post 491 of Kennett Square, a life member of the VFW National Home Association, and a life member of the Purple Heart Association.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepson, Robert J. Wilson, and two brothers.
A service was held Tuesday in the Wilde Funeral Home, Parkesburg. Burial took place in Cochranville Methodist Cemetery, West Fallowfield.
