MRS. MEDORA LEEDOM CADWALLADER
Funeral services for Mrs. Medora Leedom Cadwallader, of Friends Home, Newtown, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Yardley Friends Meeting House, N. Main St, Yardley. Mrs. Cadwallader, 89, died yesterday suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John E. Fitzgerald of Ardmore, Pa. She had resided in Yardley for many years and was a direct descendant of Giles Knight who came to America from Gloucester, England with William Penn on the "good ship" Welcome in 1682. A birthright member of the Society of Friends, Mrs. Cadwallader was active in civic affairs, a volunteer aide of Mercer Hospital in Trenton for 15 years, a past president of the Yardley Civic Club and a member of the George Washington chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, of Trenton. She is survided by a son Walter L., of Yardley; two daughters: Mrs. Robert E. Osterhaut of Langhorne, and Mrs. John E. Fitzgerald; and nine grandchildren. Mrs. Cadwallader was the wife of the late Algernon S. Cadwallader. Internment will be at the Dolington Friends Cemetery, Dolington. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the George Molden and Son Funeral Chapel, of Bristol.
