Mrs. William H. Lamborn
Nettie R. Ewing Lamborn, widow of William H. Lamborn, an Avondale resident for about 40 years, died in Wilmington Memorial Hospital yesterday. A patient there only a few hours, her death was caused by a heart attack.
The deceased was born Feb. 12, 1884, a daughter of the late John Wesley and Jane Downey Ewing, at Blake, Cecil County, Md. She was a member of Octorara Chapter 463, Order of Eastern Star, Oxford; Countryside Club of Avondale and the Avondale Methodist Church where she was active for many years.
Surviving are a daughter, Grace, wife of Frank E. Perry, Jr.; two sisters, Mazie, wife of William Otley and Miss Bessie Ewing, both of Oxford.
LAMBORN- In Wilmington Memorial Hospital on Monday, March 17, 1958, Nettie E. Lamborn, wife of the late William H. Lamborn, in the 75th year of her age.
Relatives and friends and Octorara Chapter No. 463, Order of Eastern Star, Oxford, Pa., are invited to attend the funeral at the Eastburn Funeral Home, Avondale, Pa., on Thursday, March 20, 1958 at 2 p.m.
Interment in Hockessin Friends Burial Grounds. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening. Those desiring may contribute to the Organ Fund of the Avondale Methodist Church.
"The burial was postponed until Wednesday, March 26th at 2 p.m. due to a snow storm."
