Clement E. ‘Buss' Baldwin Sr., 83, of Gap, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at the Coatesville V.A. Medical Center Hospice Unit.
He was the husband of the late Helen S. ‘Sis' Stanley Baldwin, who passed away on June 30, 1995.

He was born in Cains, son of the late Clement M. and Anna Mary Davis Baldwin.

He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Gap.

He was the former owner operator of Baldwin's Garage of Cains from 1954 to 1986.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army in the Battle of the Bulge.

He was a graduate of Scott High School, class of 1942, where he played football.

He was a member of the Reading Consistory, Lancaster Lodge of Perfection, Rajah Temple of Reading, Christiana Masonic Lodge #417 F. & A.M., Christiana American Legion Post #865, and Gap VFW Post #7418.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, collecting hats and fishing.

Surviving is a son, Clement E. ‘Clem' Jr., husband of Deborah Bernard Baldwin of Honey Brook; three grandchildren, Michelle Baldwin of Ephrata, Amy, wife of Charles Holland of Brandamore, and Christopher Baldwin of Honey Brook; a great-granddaughter, Madelyn Mae Holland of Brandamore; and six siblings, William D., husband of Mabel Baldwin of Honey Brook, Robert I., husband of Selena Baldwin, Alfred C., husband of Hilda Baldwin, both of Coatesville, Barry J., husband of Linda Baldwin of Gap, Margaret B. Plank of Gap and Jo Arlene Refford of Coatesville.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ned Baldwin, and his twin sister, Edith Mae ‘Dollie' Baldwin.

Funeral services will take place at the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth St., Christiana, Monday, Jan. 29, 11 a.m., with the Rev. Walter Venman officiating.

There will be a viewing time from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will in the St. John's Episcopal Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Neighborhood Hospice, 795 E. Marshall St., Suite 204, West Chester, PA 19380; or to Coatesville VA Medical Center ‘ Hospice 138A, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA 19320.
