He was born on April 17, 1929 in Caines, PA to the late Clement C. and Anna (Davis) Baldwin. Alfred was a lifelong member of St. John’s Episcopal Church of Compass, PA. Alfred was the owner/operator of Hidden Acres campground in Coatesville, PA, where he spent most of his time happily working with his family by his side. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Alfred was part owner of Baldwin’s Garage and Baldwin’s Used Cars in Gap, PA with his brother Robert (Bob) Baldwin where he enjoyed going to the car auctions to buy and sell cars for the car lot and his customers. He loved spending the winters in Florida and had been a winter resident in Inverness, FL since 2007, there he loved sitting on the screened back porch in the warm weather by the lake watching the ducks and the birds at the bird feeder and rides on his pontoon boat. His joy was spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family under the care of Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL made private cremation arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1520 W. Kings Highway, Gap, PA 17527. No memorial is scheduled at this time; the family will have a private celebration of life to be announced later with friends and family. Alfred taught us a lot about how to live, how to love, and how to give. You will always remain in our hearts and may our memories of you get us through this difficult time. We love you Dad, Alfred, Pop Pop; you will forever remain in our hearts. shiveryfuneralhome.com
