Notes for Clifford Baker Jr. BONSALL

Clifford Baker Bonsall, 78, of Earleville, Md., a former longtime resident of Norwood, died Sept. 8 at Union Hospital of Cecil Co., Elkton, Md.

Born and raised in Norwood, he was the son of the late Clifford and Elsie Bonsall Sr. Mr. Bonall lived in Norwood most of his life, moving to Hacks Point, Md., in 1985.

A retired employee of the former Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Lester, Tinicum Twp., he worked as a draftsman there for 40 years before his retirement in 1981.

A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Bonsall served with the Fourth Armored Division in Europe. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Cecilton, Md.; Girard College Alumni Association of Philadelphia; Post 7213, Veteran of Foreign Wars of Norwood; and the Lower Cecil County Senior Citizens.

Mr. Bonsall enjoyed gardening and reading and was particularly interested in the Civil War and Colonial History around Williamsburg, Va.

Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Roseann White Bonsall; two daughters, Susan B. Mulrooney of Sandy Hook, N.J., and Linda B. Lucchesi of Norwood; and three grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion United Methodist Church, Cecilton, Md., where there is a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial follows in Zion Cemetery, Cecilton.
