Marian Howett, 74, Ames store cashier

Marian S. Howett, 74, of Parkesburg, died Monday at home after a brief illness.

A graduate of the former Bart High School, she retired in 1994 as a cashier from the former Ames Department Store in Oxford.

She was a member of New London Missionary Baptist Church in Kelton.

Born in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Margaret Bonsall Phenneger.

She was married 55 years to Wilbert F. "Web" Howett.
